EOIOMID2026053 - Expression of Interest for New Paraburdoo Hospital Percent for Art Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal artists are invited to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) for artwork/s to be displayed at the Paraburdoo Hospital – in both indoor and outdoor public spaces. Artists or artist teams can submit an EOI and the commission requirement will be for one or more public artworks suitable for a health facility as well as ensuring the artwork is suitably responsive to the curatorial themes as specified. Artists will be shortlisted from the EOI process and invited to submit concept proposals and attend an interview (in person, or online). Artists will be paid $ 1000 +GST for their concept proposal. The preferred locations are included as mark ups on the attached floor plan. However, artists could also suggest alternative locations suited to their particular design. The total commission budget is $ 280,000 +GST which may be shared across multiple artists and artworks or assigned to a singular outstanding artwork. Applicants should state the value of their commission fee for works proposed, if it is a proportional amount of the total budget e.g. $ 280,000 or the full budget amount. The commission fee is inclusive of the following: • Design, fabrication, concept development and installation of the artwork/s including all structural and electrical requirements if proposed (such as foundations and footings) • Interpretation text • Further development of the Artwork Design to ensure integration with the technical needs • Completing Design Documentation. • Completing Fabrication. • Completing timely installation of the artwork/s and coordinating the installation program with the Main Project Builder to ensure the artwork is installed at a suitable time within the project timeline. • Completion of the artwork installation in a timely manner, coordinated with the Main Project Builder to ensure installation occurs at an appropriate stage of the project program, including full responsibility for all artist fees, consultation and coordination with the design team and builder, engineering certification for footings and artwork, insurance, materials, fabrication and construction, transport, travel, all installation costs (including fixtures and footings), and the provision of a maintenance schedule and complete project record. • Finalising Close-out Report including a Maintenance and Operational Manual.
