Overview Pilbara Energy Company Pty Ltd is inviting registrations of interest for the Supply of Power Conversion Stations and Plant Controller (DC coupled Grid Forming) package, forming part of the Fortescue Decarbonisation Project. Scope At the time of publishing this invitation to register an interest, the scope of this package for the Supply of Power Conversion Stations and Plant Controller includes: Design, engineering, manufacture and supply of Power Conversion Stations Supply of central inverters Supply of inverter step-up transformers, including oil containment bunds Supply of medium-voltage switchgear, ring main units and associated protection equipment Supply of PCS enclosures and associated ventilation and cooling systems Supply of local PCS control systems Supply of PV DC connections, circuit protection and disconnection devices Provision of DC connection interfaces for future DC-coupled batteries, noting that DC-DC converters and coupled batteries are excluded unless expressly included in the subsequent procurement documentation Supply of auxiliary power systems and low-voltage AC distribution boards Supply of internal medium-voltage earthing, busbars and internal low-voltage, instrumentation, control and communications cabling Provision of PCS earthing and external grounding terminals for connection to the plant earthing system Provision of SCADA and communications interfaces for connection to the wider solar farm control system Supply of the Plant Controller capable of controlling the output of Provision of technical documentation, drawings, equipment data sheets, operating and maintenance manuals and test certificates Factory inspection and Factory Acceptance Testing Provision of type testing certificates for relevant equipment Packaging suitable for the proposed transportation methodology Delivery of the equipment and spare parts to the nominated Delivery Point Technical support for installation and integration, where required Site testing, commissioning and Site Acceptance Testing support, where required Training of the Principal's operations personnel, where required Contractor Requirements The Power Conversion Stations and Plant Controller must be compatible with the nominated photovoltaic generation equipment and the associated electrical, control, communications, protection, earthing and SCADA systems The equipment must be designed for the environmental, climatic, electrical and operating conditions of the relevant project site The Supplier must ensure that all aspects of the Works comply with all relevant and current Australian Standards, ISOs and Australian regulation Instructions to Tenderers The Fortescue Decarbonisation Project, including this package for Supply of Power Conversion Stations and Plant Controller (Grid Forming), is subject to internal approvals. The procurement process or scope may change at the election of Pilbara Energy (Generation) Pty Ltd, including to accommodate project budget and time requirements.
