Overview The Department of Housing and Works (WA) is seeking a contractor to deliver fire services upgrades at the Kath French Secure Care Centre (KFSCC), on behalf of the Department of Communities. About The Kath French Secure Care Centre is located approximately 40 kilometres from Perth, at 900 Woodlands Road, Stoneville WA 6081, within the Shire of Mundaring. The Secure Care Facility provides planned, short-term intensive intervention in a therapeutic environment designed to support the safety, stability, assessment, and wellbeing of children and young people in care. The facility can accommodate up to six young people aged 12 to 17 years from across Western Australia. The site falls wholly within a designated bushfire prone area. The buildings on the site are in proximity to extreme hazard vegetation types and topography conducive to bushfire. Scope As part of a wider maintenance programme, this project aims to improve safety of the existing facility through installation of fire services (wet and dry) and an upgrade of the emergency and exit lighting. The scope includes: Design finalisation (IFC and shop drawings), installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance and warranty for works Internal works Installation of fire sprinkler system Supply and install of new exit and emergency lighting Upgrade of existing fire detection and occupant warning system Builders work associated with the installation of the services, reinstating of existing services and replacement of the ceilings External works Upgrade of fire hydrant system, pumps, tanks Demolition and removal of redundant systems Concrete padding and trenching external works Enquiries Contact: Amy Quach, Project Manager Mobile: 0400209457 Email: amy.quach@dohw.wa.gov.au
