Department of Education - Cable Beach Primary School - Early Child Education - Airconditioning Upgrade

Overview The Department of Housing and Works (WA) is seeking a contractor to provide mechanical services for an air conditioning upgrade at the Department of Education's Cable Beach Primary School, Early Childhood Education area. Scope The scope of works is to provide mechanical services for the Cable Beach Primary Early Childhood Education Air Conditioning Upgrade, consisting of demolition works and new air conditioning and outside air systems. The documented works generally include, but are not limited to, the following: Decommissioning and removal of three (3) Daikin VRV systems with nine (9) indoor units and all associated services Modification of one external plant area Removal of one external plant area Blanking off redundant remaining condensate drains, reusing drains where possible Supply and installation of three (3) new under ceiling split air conditioning systems with hard wired controls, including interlock with outside air systems Supply and installation of two (2) new condensate drainage systems to connect to existing drains Supply and installation of three (3) new filtered outside air systems interlocked with the new air conditioning system operation Reuse of existing weatherproof isolators and power supplies for new air conditioning systems, with new power supplies provided where required Note: Option A to locate the CU.E2 condensing unit in the Western plant area, rather than on the veranda All building works associated with demolition and new works Ceiling removal and replacement, including ceiling access panels as required to facilitate demolition and installation, and additional access panels as may be required Making good to existing walls where fan coil units and drains are removed, including painting (exact paint match not required) Provision of detailed shop drawings and equipment selections within two weeks of contract award, for approval by the Superintendent Provision of staff training for all installed mechanical services Provision of a 52 week defects liability period for all mechanical services equipment from the date of Practical Completion Provision of routine maintenance throughout the defects liability period in accordance with AS 3666 and AS 1851.6 Provision of Operating and Maintenance Manuals Contractor Requirements BMW - SA12: Restricted to BMW Service Alliance 2012 registered contractors Site Inspection A site visit will be held at Cable Beach Primary School, Cable Beach.
