Department of Education - Laverton Remote Community School - Playground Installation and Shade sails

Overview The Department of Housing and Works (WA) is seeking a contractor for the Department of Education to construct a new all ages playground and supply and install shade sails at Laverton Remote Community School. Scope The aim of this project is to construct a new all ages playground within the confines of Laverton School, at the location shown in Picture 1 and 2 (Location of proposed All Ages Playground). The scope includes: Supply of playground equipment, or similarly styled equipment to be approved by Colin Bassett prior to the close of tender, comprising: a wave slide; a platform including a wave slide, rubber seat (beneath), pommel joiner (inclined), congo joiner (inclined), and high visibility barrier panel; a 2 bay post swing with basket and strap swing seats; an obstacle course including pommel step, "S" monkey bar, pommel walker, and roller bed; a below deck social play zone including shop counter, counting panel, and squeeze panel; a 4x1600 platform pod including web tunnel climber, 2x web walls, and high visibility barrier panels; a rope twist joiner; 3x platform pod including 3x rock walls and high visibility barrier panels; a tube net joiner (inclined); and a space net climber Supply and installation of shade sails and posts (FP-LAV-OPT 1 - FP), including a building permit covering engineering certification and certificate of design Compliance and building permit fees Travel and accommodation Excavation of footings Removal of spoils Removal of trees that are in the way (provisional sum of $12,500) Supply and installation of concrete footings Manufacture and installation of galvanised and powder coated posts Manufacture and installation of custom shade sails, Rainbow Shades EX32 Provision of a 5 year warranty on shade sails, and a 12 year warranty on posts and footings Contractor Requirements Builder pre-qualification: Not applicable
