Overview WA Country Health Service is seeking a dry fire contractor to deliver the Kununurra Hospital Fire Indicator Panel and Associated Systems works. Scope The scope includes: Demolition and making redundant of all existing fire services equipment as indicated in the drawings Supply, installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance, service and warranty of the fire services installation, including all sundry and material items required to complete the installation and place it into working order Planning, scheduling and procurement of components and installation to meet the programme, including coordination and liaison with the Contractor and other trade packages Full execution of the complete installation in accordance with the specification, drawings and cross-referenced contract documents Provision of a fire services installation that satisfies all statutory, legislative, local authority and code requirements Compliance with all relevant Work Health and Safety legislation and best practice, including site-specific requirements or regulations such as attendance at site inductions and adherence to induction procedures Leading the installation and, where in-house expertise is not available, engaging suitable subcontractors to complete the works (a builder shall not be engaged to manage the project works) Mechanical Contractor Provision of duct penetrations for installation of in-duct detectors Investigation and identification of locations for fire mode interfacing, for shut down of mechanical systems in fire mode Interfacing of fire signals to building mechanical switchboards for mechanical override Active fire mode testing at completion of works to validate fire mode operations Electrical/Security/Nurse Call Contractor Enabling override of door controls in a fire event, including installation of 6 new door signal overrides Interfacing with the nurse call system to allow fire signalling to be identified on the nurse call paging system Power interfacing with electrical services switchboards for mechanical system override Active fire mode testing at completion of works to validate fire mode operations Carpenter/General Works Contractor Provision of new access panels where required to suit in-ceiling detector locations Sealing of penetrations through fire and smoke walls Provision of ceiling cover plate patching to penetrations left by removed existing detector devices Contractor Requirements The Contractor has primary responsibility for all requirements set out in all Contract Documents The Contractor and all Trades must have a full understanding of all design and reference documentation and guidelines, and must certify that the Works have been undertaken in compliance with that documentation, those guidelines and the other requirements of the agreement Any queries concerning documentation where there is doubt must be formally raised for clarification prior to submission of tenders Variations will not be considered valid as a consequence of misunderstanding or lack of clarity in the specification and other contract documents Tenderers are entitled to propose substitutions in accordance with the applicable reference in the specification Site Inspection A site visit will be held at Kununurra Hospital, Maintenance Department, 96 Coolibah Drive, Kununurra.
