Purchase and Removal of an unidentified 'Pink Yacht'

Overview The Department of Transport and Major Infrastructure (WA) is seeking offers for the purchase and removal of an unidentified pink yacht, approximately 6 metres in length, currently moored at the Fremantle Fishing Boat Harbour. About The vessel was first reported to be secured to recreational mooring 616 in the Swan & Canning Mooring Control Area (MCA) on 25 May 2026. The unidentified yacht was moored in contravention of marine legislation as defined under regulation 40C(2)(b). Efforts to identify and contact the owner have been unsuccessful. Pursuant to regulation 40K (Obstruction Notice) of the Navigable Waters Regulations 1958 (NWR), the vessel was transported to Fremantle Fishing Boat Harbour by DTMI Compliance Officers. The bracket supporting the mast is broken, however the mast remains securely attached to the vessel and has sustained no damage. The Item is being sold pursuant to regulation 42(a) of the Navigable Waters Regulations 1958.
