About this tender
Overview The Western Australia Police Force requires Variable Alternate Light Sources (VALS) that are laboratory based and field deployable for the purposes of forensic examinations of physical evidence relevant to the investigation of major crimes within the State of Western Australia. The VALS will provide alternate illumination for the identification, recovery and recording of forensic evidence. The WA Police Force is seeking to establish a panel of suppliers for the supply and delivery of VALS, and the associated auxiliary equipment suitable to meet the requirements defined in Schedule 2, Specification / Statement of Requirements. About The WA Police Force currently uses the Rofin Polilight PL500 UV-VIS-IR for its forensic laboratory requirements and the CRIME-LITE 82L & 82S MIXED CASE SET for forensic operations in the field. The WA Police Force is seeking this or suitable equivalent Goods which meets the specifications outlined in Schedule 2, Specification / Statement of Requirements. Scope There are three categories: Category 1: Mobile Laboratory Based Light Source (see WAPOL09925, Attachment 1, Mobile Laboratory Based Light Source) Category 2: Fixed Laboratory Based Light Source (see WAPOL09925, Attachment 2, Fixed Laboratory Based Light Source) Category 3: Handheld Light Source (see WAPOL09925, Attachment 3, Handheld Light Source) Respondents may tender for one, multiple or all categories.
