Overview Jobs and Skills Australia, part of the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations, is seeking an experienced AI/Data Engineer to fill the role of Lead Data Engineer supporting the development of the National Skills Taxonomy (NST). About The NST will establish a common national language for describing skills across education, training and work. The Role The role includes: Designing, developing and maintaining scalable data and AI infrastructure that supports the collection, preparation, validation and operationalisation of skills data and analytical models Working closely with Data Scientists, Information Management Specialists and other technical and policy specialists to develop robust, repeatable and production-ready capabilities that support the ongoing development and use of the NST Contributing to the design, implementation and continuous improvement of data pipelines, validation frameworks, model-serving capabilities and technical infrastructure that support the NST Working alongside Data Scientists, Information Management Specialists and domain experts to ensure technical solutions are scalable, reliable, transparent and aligned with NST governance, quality and operational requirements Role Requirements Experience as an AI/Data Engineer
