About Inner West Council is a dynamic and progressive local government authority serving one of Sydney's most densely populated and culturally diverse local government areas. The Council provides a broad range of community services, including planning and development assessment functions that are central to shaping the built environment of the Inner West. The Council's Development Assessment (DA) function administers a high volume and complexity of planning applications annually, involving interdisciplinary assessment teams, multiple integrated systems, and strict statutory obligations. Purpose The Council recognises that artificial intelligence and intelligent automation technologies present a significant opportunity to modernise and enhance its Development Assessment function, improving outcomes for applicants, staff, and the broader community. Instructions to Tenderers This Expression of Interest (EOI) is Stage 1 of a two-stage procurement process. It is exploratory, non-binding, and does not constitute a request for quotes, tenders, or formal proposals. The Council is not committing to any procurement outcome as a result of this EOI. A future Selective Request for Tender (RFT) or Request for Quotation (RFQ) may be issued to a shortlisted subset of respondents following evaluation.
