Overview The City of Sydney is seeking an expression of interest to develop and evolve an original Sydney Christmas design concept to form the basis and inspiration for the City's Christmas trees and decorations. About The City's decorations are focused upon the Martin Place Christmas Tree, which has been a feature of Martin Place since 1971. In recent years, this has been supplemented by an extensive suite of decorations including smaller trees in key locations around the City of Sydney Local Government Area (LGA), decorations rigged from street poles around the LGA, lighting activations in Pitt Street Mall, and other lighting installations around the CBD. Purpose From 2028 onward, the City is seeking a design concept for the Martin Place Christmas Tree and an associated suite of trees and decorative elements in specified LGA locations. Scope The scope includes: Developing and evolving an original Sydney Christmas design concept to form the basis and inspiration for the City's trees and decorations for the event Designing the Martin Place Christmas Tree and an associated suite of trees and decorative elements in specified LGA locations Providing creative solutions for decorative installations that achieve maximum impact in different streetscape locations throughout the CBD
