About this tender
This scope covers the removal and replacement of existing large water meters (nominal diameter 50mm and greater) within Hunter Water Corporations area of operations. Hunter Water Corporations area of operations currently includes the local government areas of Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Maitland, Cessnock, Port Stephens, Dungog and the eastern parts of Singleton. The work includes all activities incidental to the exchange of large water meters, including supply isolation, removal and installation of meters, associated fittings, testing and commissioning. For the purposes of this scope, a large meter exchange includes: Pick up new water meter from Service Stream Removal of an existing water meter Installation of a replacement meter supplied by Hunter Water Reconnection of the meter into the existing pipework Testing, commissioning, and return to service Tidy and restore area Return removed meter to Service Stream The property service pipework upstream and downstream of the meter remains unchanged, except where minor modifications are necessary to accommodate the new meter.
