Norfolk Island Regional Council - Invitation to Tender: Managed Services Provider for IT
Tender Overview
About this tender
Norfolk Island Regional Council (Council) is seeking Tender Responses from suitably qualified and experienced Managed Service Providers (MSPs) to deliver IT managed services. Council is seeking a provider with proven capability not only to ensure reliable, secure and scalable IT operations, but also to establish a collaborative partnership that supports Council's ongoing journey towards greater digital maturity. The selected provider will be responsible for the management, maintenance and continual improvement of Council's IT environment, including end-user computing, servers and cloud infrastructure, Microsoft 365, line-of-business applications, networks, and cyber security. The MSP will be expected to deliver proactive monitoring, responsive technical support and strategic advice that enhances service performance, mitigates risk and optimises technology investments. Council operates in a geographically remote environment with unique operational, connectivity and resourcing challenges. Reliable, secure and well-governed IT services are therefore critical to supporting Council's corporate functions, operational service delivery, statutory obligations and community-facing services. Council requires a provider with demonstrated capability, strong governance practices and experience operating in remote or complex environments. Council seeks to establish a partnership that delivers operational stability, improves user experience, strengthens cyber security and business resilience, and ensures IT services remain aligned with business priorities. This Invitation to Tender process is being managed by Peak Services on behalf of Norfolk Island Regional Council. How to respond to this tender
A strong tender response is clear, compliant, and backed by evidence. These steps apply to most Australian and New Zealand public tenders.
Read the requirements in full
Open the official listing and download the full tender pack. Note the response schedules, evaluation criteria, mandatory conditions, and the exact closing time and lodgement method.
Confirm you are eligible and it is worth bidding
Check licences, insurances, certifications, and any conformance requirements before you commit. A quick bid or no-bid decision saves days of wasted effort on a tender you cannot win.
Answer every criterion with evidence
Respond to each evaluation criterion directly and back your claims with concrete examples, referees, and past performance. Address the buyer’s stated need, not a generic capability statement.
Lodge early through the official portal
Submit through the source portal well before the deadline. Late or incorrectly lodged bids are almost always rejected, so leave time for uploads, portal errors, and last-minute questions.
