About this tender
Overview Council is seeking a contractor for the transport of Food and Garden Organics (FOGO) from the Katoomba Waste Management Facility (KWMF) to Australian Native Landscapes (ANL) at Blayney. About Council is planning to introduce a Food and Garden Organics (FOGO) collection service for all residents in July 2027. New contracts for all three services are scheduled to commence at the start date of Council's new FOGO service on 1 July 2027. The new FOGO processing contract has been awarded to ANL, with FOGO to be processed at their Blayney facility. The new kerbside collection contract has been awarded to JJ's Waste & Recycling and involves delivering FOGO to the Katoomba Waste Management Facility (KWMF), where it will be temporarily stored in the transfer station building before being loaded into trucks by Council staff for bulk transport to ANL's Blayney facility.
