Overview KiwiRail Group is seeking a new electricity supply arrangement ahead of the expiry of its current Fixed Price Variable Volume (FPVV) electricity supply contract on 31 October 2027. The combined electrical load of the parties involved is approximately 98.2 GWh per annum. About The current FPVV electricity supply contract was established through a collaborative procurement led by KiwiRail, which included Greater Wellington Regional Council (GWRC) and Auckland Transport (AT) electrical traction load, to leverage greater economies of scale across the three rail entities. The parties wish to continue this collaboration on electricity supply, led by KiwiRail. Scope Provision of electricity supply for the combined electrical load of KiwiRail, Greater Wellington Regional Council, and Auckland Transport, totalling approximately 98.2 GWh per annum Eligibility Respondents must be bona fide New Zealand electricity suppliers/retailers Instructions to Tenderers KiwiRail will release commercial in confidence ICP data, at KiwiRail's sole discretion, to bona fide New Zealand electricity suppliers/retailers in 144 format and 48 pricing for all current locations. These locations are subject to change as business requirements change.
