Hīnau Student Accommodation Fire Safety Contractor

Overview This RFP is seeking an experienced contractor to investigate and complete remedial work to fire dampers and associated passive fire-stopping in the Hīnau student accommodation blocks. Scope The scope includes: Investigation of existing conditions relating to fire dampers and associated passive fire-stopping in the Hīnau student accommodation blocks Completion of remedial work to fire dampers and associated passive fire-stopping following investigation Working with UC and its consultants to confirm the detailed scope and delivery approach as further information becomes available Coordinating specialist passive fire and supporting trades required to complete the work Delivery of the main site works while the accommodation is available over the 2026–27 summer period Contractor Requirements Technical capability to investigate existing conditions and deliver the remedial works Appropriately qualified and certified personnel Sufficient resources to complete the required investigation and remedial work Ability to work collaboratively with UC and its consultants as the scope develops Willingness and capacity to work on a measure-and-value basis Maintenance of clear cost, quality, and compliance records throughout delivery Clear quality assurance processes and records supporting ongoing inspection and compliance Reliable resourcing, early mobilisation, and clear communication given the tight programme Transparent cost management under the measure-and-value model Contract Terms and Conditions The contract is intended to be delivered on a measure-and-value basis Main site works are planned to occur while the accommodation is available over the 2026–27 summer period Enquiries Contact: Jacqui Kingi, 03 3693209
