About this tender

Overview Greater Wellington Regional Council, operating its public transport network under the Metlink brand, is seeking to partner with a supplier to implement and deploy a multimodal journey planning engine for use by public transport customers via Metlink's app and website. About Greater Wellington Regional Council is a public statutory body constituted under the Local Government Act 2002. It operates a complex, well-established public transport network across the Wellington region under the brand Metlink. Purpose Metlink's primary goal is to achieve operational parity with its existing journey planning solution, followed by implementing improvements and benefits offered by an OTP2-based solution once the solution is established. Scope The scope includes: Implementation and deployment of a multimodal journey planning engine for use by public transport customers via Metlink's app and website Provision of a solution based on OpenTripPlanner 2 (OTP2) Contractor Requirements Capability to demonstrate a positive and successful track record implementing an OTP2 based journey planning solution in a public transport context Contract Terms and Conditions Maximum contract term of eight (8) years to provide these services to Metlink Instructions to Tenderers Information regarding this opportunity is contained in the RFP document package.
