About this tender

Overview The Ministry of Education (NZ) is seeking a suitably experienced main contractor to deliver a combined package of roofing, exterior cladding, timber joinery and associated internal remediation works at Mana College (Porirua), across Blocks A, D, F, K and X. Purpose The works combine previously separate 5YA projects into a single contract to improve coordination, reduce duplication and achieve a more efficient procurement and construction outcome. The outcome sought is a coordinated, durable and compliant remediation solution that addresses existing condition and weathertightness issues, extends the service life of retained buildings and is delivered safely with minimal disruption to the operational school environment. Scope The scope includes: Targeted roofing repairs and replacement Membrane remediation Replacement of translucent roofing and skylights Repairs to flashings and penetrations Rainwater goods works Localised cladding replacement Timber joinery repairs Weatherproofing and associated making good Targeted internal refurbishment works to Block A Block E roofing and cladding works have been removed from the current scope to align with the Ministry-led wider site redevelopment. Tenderers should also be aware that elements of the scope and construction staging may be subject to further refinement as the wider Capital Works programme develops. Contract Terms and Conditions Two Principal-nominated Provisional Sums for Block A carpet flooring and internal plasterboard refurbishment are included in the Schedule of Prices and are to be retained as stated Tenderers may identify additional Provisional Sums where considered necessary and appropriately justified Enquiries All enquiries are to be made through the GETS Question and Answer function.
