Overview The Ministry of Education (NZ), on behalf of the School Board, is seeking a Main Contractor to undertake weathertightness remediation works at Spotswood College, as identified in the school's 10 Year Property Plan (10YPP). The works are focused on the O block, which houses the admin, reception, pastoral care and core school staff areas as well as the Hall. Scope The scope includes: Removal of the existing end of life membrane roof over the reception and offices, re-pitching with trusses and installation of new metal roofing Relocation of existing services inside the roof cavity and wall framing Replacement of hall cladding and joinery Modifications to the pop-up, including new cladding, joinery and metal roofing Asbestos removal Hall bracing Construction of a new hall eastern canopy and entrance, including new ramps, stairs and site works Other associated works The school is able to decant from O block for a period of time to allow for works to occur. Instructions to Tenderers Contractors are encouraged to put forward a programme that offers the least impact to the school possible.
