Overview This tender is for the Ōhineangaanga Stream Erosion Protection Works project, involving the construction of a range of river and stream management measures designed to stabilise stream banks, reduce erosion, protect surrounding infrastructure, and improve the long-term resilience and environmental health of the stream corridor. Purpose The project is intended to provide a sustainable erosion protection solution that safeguards nearby assets, enhances the resilience of the stream system, and delivers environmental improvements within the Ōhineangaanga Stream catchment. Scope The scope includes: Excavation and reshaping of sections of the stream channel and banks Installation of rock riprap erosion protection Construction of retaining structures, including sheet pile walls and reinforced earth walls Implementation of grade control and flow management features to manage water movement and reduce further erosion Creation of low-flow channel features and access benches to support stream function and ongoing maintenance activities Management of stream flows, protection of aquatic habitats, and maintenance of fish passage during construction Reinstatement of disturbed areas and riparian planting following construction to enhance ecological values and support long-term bank stability Enquiries Contact: Polly Jones-Morris, Commercial Support procurement@boprc.govt.nz
