Overview Gisborne District Council has issued this Request for Proposal (RFP) for the construction of a new temporary transfer station facility at the Tokomaru Bay Landfill, on an adjacent site immediately north of the current facility. Purpose The Council's objective is to engage a suitable contractor with the capability and resources to deliver all works associated with constructing the temporary transfer station. Scope The scope includes: Construction of a new transfer station facility Associated internal vehicle circulation Waste and recycling facilities Drainage Signage Landscaping Other supporting infrastructure Contractor Requirements Relevant experience delivering a similar scope of work and an understanding of the risks involved Local knowledge Resources to carry out the work safely, to budget, and on time A commitment to sustainability aligned with the objectives of the GDC Waste Management Plan
