AED/First Aid and Out of Service tag Annual Maintenance Program

Overview The City of Onkaparinga is seeking suitably qualified contractors for the annual inspection and replenishment of Automatic External Defibrillators (AEDs), First Aid Kits, and the installation of "Out of Service" Tag dispensers across multiple Council locations. Scope The Contractor must provide annual and ad-hoc inspection, maintenance and replenishment services for Council's first aid kits and Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs), together with the provision of out-of-service tag dispensers. First Aid Kits The scope includes: Annually inspecting and stocktaking approximately 420 first aid kits between November and December Attending nominated Council facilities and inspecting vehicle kits made available at the Facility Operations Centre, Seaford Meadows Replacing missing, used, damaged or expired consumables Providing ad-hoc consumable replacement when requested Applying Council-provided service stickers showing the inspection date and replacement contact details Checking that appropriate signage is present and notifying Council of any issues Recording completed inspections, replenishments and defects against each asset Council's WHS team will provide asset details, site contacts, access arrangements, service stickers and required signage. Automated External Defibrillators The scope includes: Annually inspecting and maintaining approximately 119 AEDs in accordance with manufacturer requirements Checking each AED's condition and operational status Inspecting and replacing expired, damaged or used batteries and electrode pads Inspecting AED cabinets and replacing defective cabinets where authorised Checking that signage is appropriately located, including external signage where an AED is stored inside a building Applying Council-provided service stickers Immediately notifying Council where an AED cannot be confirmed as operational Recording all inspections, replacements and defects against the relevant asset Following emergency use, inspecting, testing and restoring the AED, replacing used batteries or consumables as required, and confirming whether it is ready to return to service Council's WHS team will provide available asset information, coordinate access, supply service stickers, arrange signage and approve replacement work where required.
