Overview The Department for Environment and Water (SA) is seeking a contractor for the construction of wetland regulators, involving the delivery of water infrastructure upgrades at three Riverland sites: the Berri Basin Bank B regulator (replacement), the Overland Corner access track and downstream regulator (replacement), and the Gerard Complex (new regulator). Scope The contract comprises the plant, labour and materials necessary to execute the works described in the specification and drawings, including all obvious items for the proper completion of the work, comprising but not limited to the following. Overall Site establishment, including dilapidation surveys, establishment of traffic management, access track remediation as required, site mobilisation (including compound arrangement and set up), and installation of relevant environmental controls Demobilisation from site upon completion Submission of all required QA documentation, manuals and drawings as specified within the contract scope Overland Corner wetland Stripping of surficial soil materials and stockpiling for later respreading Clearance of vegetation identified for removal Construction of temporary cofferdams (if required) and dewatering of the work area Construction of temporary access tracks and ramps as required Demolition and disposal of existing culverts, base slab, wingwalls, apron slabs and fish screens Bulk earthworks and subgrade preparation Construction of new regulator (four cell), including all associated items Access track improvements between Heron Bend Road and the regulator Access track upgrade from Overland Corner Hotel to boat ramp, including pull out bays Construction of three culverts under the access track, including headwalls and single piece stop boards Fabrication, installation and commissioning of stop boards and fish screens Construction of approach slabs, backfill and access track Installation of guardrails, handrails and signage Installation of rockwork and erosion protection Removal of temporary cofferdams Removal of surplus fill/spoil material from site and disposal as required Clean up and restoration of the site Demobilisation from site Berri Basin Bank B Stripping of surficial soil materials and stockpiling for later respreading Clearance of vegetation identified for removal Construction of temporary cofferdams and dewatering of the work area Construction of temporary access tracks and ramps as required Demolition and disposal of existing pipe, headwall, apron slabs and penstock gate Bulk earthworks and subgrade preparation Construction of new regulator (single cell), including all associated items Fabrication, installation and commissioning of triple leaf penstock and fish screens Construction of headwall and wingwalls, approach slabs, backfill and access track Installation of handrails, guardrails and signage Installation of rockwork and erosion protection Removal of temporary cofferdams Removal of surplus fill/spoil material from site and disposal as required Clean up and restoration of the site Demobilisation from site Gerard, provisional site Gerard is considered provisional until stakeholder support is confirmed.
