About this tender
Overview Circular Head Council is seeking a fee proposal from suitably experienced contractors to undertake pavement stabilisation works along approximately 450 m of Montagu Road, Smithton, commencing at the intersection with Bolduans Road and extending west. About Montagu Road is a two-lane sealed arterial road providing an important connection through the local road network. The section identified for stabilisation works commences at the intersection with Bolduans Road and extends approximately 450 m west. The existing road pavement is generally around 7.1 m wide. The road carries an average daily traffic volume of approximately 660 vehicles per day (AADT), with heavy vehicles comprising approximately 28.5% of traffic (Austroads Class 3 and above). The road is located within undulating terrain, and existing drainage is managed through a system of open drains which discharge through adjacent farmland. Scope The proposed works involve stabilisation of the existing road pavement along the identified section of Montagu Road, coordinated with Council's resurfacing contractor to improve pavement performance and provide a more durable road surface. The scope includes, but is not necessarily limited to: Implementation and maintenance of a Quality Assurance System WHS and Risk Management Environmental Management Location and protection of existing services Traffic Management In situ stabilisation of pavement Cleaning of site Reinstatement of work affected areas 12 month maintenance period
