RFT – Medicare Urgent Care Clinic – Glenorchy/Derwent Park
Tender Overview
About this tender
Medicare Urgent Care Clinics (Medicare UCCs) are funded by the Australian Government to ease pressure on emergency departments and give Australians more options to access urgent, non-life-threatening care at no cost. Primary Health Tasmania is seeking to commission a capable and experienced provider to establish and deliver a new Medicare UCC in Glenorchy or Derwent Park. This tender provides an opportunity for interested applicants to demonstrate their capacity and capability to deliver Medicare UCC services. The successful applicant will be expected to ensure the clinic is open to the public by early December 2026. Tender information: Applicants should download and review the tender documents for detailed information about the service, funding, application requirements and supporting guidance materials. Briefing session: Primary Health Tasmania invites interested organisations to attend an online briefing session on Wednesday 1 July 2026 at 11.30 am AEST. The session will provide an overview of the service model, budget requirements and tender process. Interested organisations should register to attend.
How to respond to this tender
A strong tender response is clear, compliant, and backed by evidence. These steps apply to most Australian and New Zealand public tenders.
Read the requirements in full
Open the official listing and download the full tender pack. Note the response schedules, evaluation criteria, mandatory conditions, and the exact closing time and lodgement method.
Confirm you are eligible and it is worth bidding
Check licences, insurances, certifications, and any conformance requirements before you commit. A quick bid or no-bid decision saves days of wasted effort on a tender you cannot win.
Answer every criterion with evidence
Respond to each evaluation criterion directly and back your claims with concrete examples, referees, and past performance. Address the buyer’s stated need, not a generic capability statement.
Lodge early through the official portal
Submit through the source portal well before the deadline. Late or incorrectly lodged bids are almost always rejected, so leave time for uploads, portal errors, and last-minute questions.
