About this tender

The School to Work program will be structured in 17 areas aligned to the Department of Education regional model, with one 3-year funding agreement per area. Providers will be expected to embark on supporting schools and students from term 1 2027. Any not-for-profit organisation will be eligible to submit a proposal to deliver School to Work in one or more of the 17 areas from 2027 to 2029. The School to Work program will fund industry engagement providers to connect secondary school students to work-based learning opportunities across the 17 department areas from 2027. Providers will work directly with employers and industry across their local area(s). They will assist schools to find students work-based learning opportunities. Importantly, providers are not expected to work directly with students. It is intended, that the program will be supported by an integrated technology platform which will support a tiered service delivery model. The reformed School to Work program will aim to enhance the efficiency, scale, quality, and equity of services to achieve improved student outcomes. Additional components that will aim to support this work, which are not part of this tender process include: Equity and Innovation Fund which is intended to support state-wide opportunities targeting specific cohorts. Transport and accommodation funding which is intended to provide support for rural and regional students to be able to access metropolitan work-based learning opportunities.
