Overview The Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (NSW) invites open tenders for the design, supply, installation and commissioning of an upgraded irrigation system at Tocal Glendarra Dairy, part of the Tocal Agricultural Centre, Paterson NSW. Scope The scope includes: Design of the pump station and hydraulic system, which is the responsibility of the contractor Installation of a centre pivot irrigator capable of distributing irrigation water and recycled dairy effluent Installation of two hard hose irrigators Provision of associated pumping, electrical and control infrastructure Delivery of irrigation coverage across an approximate area of 45 to 55 hectares Simultaneous operation of the centre pivot and both hard hose irrigators at full design capacity while maintaining required flow rates and pressures Two design options are available for tenderers to address: Option 1, Future Effluent Integration: design and install the irrigation network with suitable poly pipeline infrastructure to enable future connection of the existing effluent system, providing flexibility for future expansion and potential effluent integration Option 2, Immediate Effluent Integration: connect the existing effluent system to the new irrigation network as part of the current works, detailing the infrastructure, controls and any additional requirements necessary to achieve full integration of the existing effluent supply Information Requested Irrigation designs for a proposed irrigated area between 45ha and 55ha using centre pivot and hard hose irrigation systems Details of an irrigation pump appropriately sized to meet the proposed demand, taking into account the available electrical supply at the pump site, which is limited to 200 amps and is a key design constraint For Option 1, connection locations and requirements for future effluent integration, to be confirmed during the site briefing For Option 2, connection points, pipeline alignments and details of infrastructure, controls and additional requirements to achieve full effluent integration, to be confirmed during the site briefing Tender Briefing A mandatory briefing will be held for this opportunity.
