Overview Waikato District Council is seeking an experienced contractor to strengthen two bridges on Tahuna Road, an important transport link. Objectives Council's objectives are to: Deliver the strengthening works safely, efficiently, and with minimal disruption Improve bridge capacity to support current and future transport demands Extend the service life of the two structures Achieve value for money through the appointment of a suitably experienced contractor Scope The scope includes: Structural strengthening of two bridges on Tahuna Road Concrete repairs Temporary works Traffic management All activities required to improve the long-term performance and resilience of the bridges Instructions to Tenderers Council intends to go to market in September 2026.
