About this tender
Overview The Otago Regional Council (ORC) is responsible for the delivery of land drainage and flood protection services throughout the Otago region. ORC is seeking suitably skilled and experienced contractors to undertake riparian tree maintenance and topping of tree assets in the Lower Clutha and Lower Taieri Flood Protection and Drainage Schemes. Purpose Riparian tree root systems stabilise drain and riverbank soils. Ongoing maintenance preserves tree structures and prevents overhanging and uprooting, which helps avoid waterway blockages, damming, and washouts, enhancing flood resilience and reducing long-term maintenance needs. Scope The scope includes: Riparian tree maintenance of tree assets in the Lower Clutha Flood Protection and Drainage Scheme Riparian tree maintenance of tree assets in the Lower Taieri Flood Protection and Drainage Scheme Topping of tree assets across both schemes The work will be delivered across two contract packages covering the Flood Protection and Drainage Schemes in Lower Clutha and Lower Taieri.
