ETCS Rollingstock Technical Advisory Team

Overview The Department of Transport and Main Roads (QLD) is seeking a supplier to provide ETCS Rollingstock Team Technical Advisors under this Contract. Purpose An ETCS rollingstock technical advisory team is needed to manage the design and procurement processes required to fit new 5G/Future Railway Mobile Communication System (FRMCS) radios to the NGR and QTMP trains, as the existing GSM-R radio system is becoming obsolete and does not have the necessary licence for The Wave operation. The onboard radio upgrade triggers an upgrade to the onboard ETCS baseline. Scope The scope includes: Provision of ETCS Rollingstock Team Technical Advisors Management of the design and procurement processes for fitment of new 5G/FRMCS radios to the NGR and QTMP trains Development of the new onboard ETCS baseline Testing of the new onboard baseline in the State Lab Application of the new onboard baseline onto the different train types Establishment of a stateside project and technical management team responsible for managing these works through the State's nominated contractors Contract Terms and Conditions The Contract will be formed between the Customer and the Supplier as set out in the General Contract Conditions The Customer will appoint a Contract manager, who will be responsible for managing the Contract throughout its term, and may change the Contract manager from time to time The Customer may engage other Suppliers for the supply of Rollingstock Team Technical Advisors The Supplier will work collaboratively with the Customer to ensure the benefits of purchasing under the Contract are achieved Enquiries Contact: Allan Toal, Program Director ETCS Phone: 07 3338 4175 Address: Floor 22, Brisbane, 140 Creek Street Email: allan.t.toal@tmr.qld.gov.au
