About this tender

Overview The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) requires traffic surveys to be carried out during the period from October 2026 to December 2026. The survey is to be conducted over a continuous fourteen (14) day period at each site to capture traffic volume, vehicle classification and speed data. Scope The scope includes: Undertaking mid-block tube count surveys at locations specified in Appendix A, SCR AADT Program Schedule 2026-2027 Commencing surveys at midnight on the preceding Wednesday, to ensure full data coverage for each Thursday as outlined in the schedule Additional survey locations may be added during the term of the contract, subject to operational requirements. TMR reserves the right to remove sites from the scope of works and/or include additional sites as required. Any changes to the survey scope will be communicated to the Contractor during the course of the project. Contractor Requirements Demonstrated capability to deliver a successful survey program, including strategies to mitigate risks associated with equipment failure and survey disruptions, through appropriate methodologies, reliable equipment, and effective site management practices Responsibility to ensure all survey equipment and technology used is appropriately powered, fully functional, and safeguarded against potential interference, including malicious activity Contract Terms and Conditions TMR reserves the right to extend the contract period based on project needs and contractor performance Surveys must be conducted within the designated timeframe specified in Appendix A, SCR AADT Program Schedule 2026-2027 The schedule incorporates redundancy to ensure continuity of the program in the event of significant disruptions such as adverse weather conditions or unforeseen traffic incidents, and includes additional buffer time to mitigate the risk of equipment failures Enquiries All enquiries should be submitted via email to projects.southcoast@tmr.qld.gov.au
