About this tender
Overview Northern Peninsula Area Regional Council is seeking proposals from suitably qualified and experienced contractors to carry out works to expand the capacity of the Sewer Treatment Ponds in Bamaga. Scope The scope includes: Increasing the size of the 2 existing primary lagoons Addition of a 3rd secondary lagoon Installation of new interconnecting pipework and valves Installation of new bypass pipelines Relocation of a rising main Relocation of electrical wires Fencing and landscaping works Provision of an improved screening and grit removal system at the inlet to the sewage treatment plant, with the design and type of system to be proposed by the contractor with a focus on total life-cycle costs Maintaining operation of the current sewage treatment plant for as long as possible during the construction works Desludging works in the existing ponds, to be delivered as a variation using unit rates Contractor Requirements Suitably qualified and experienced in carrying out sewer treatment pond expansion works Instructions to Tenderers Concept designs are attached.
