Overview Northern Peninsula Area Council is seeking a contractor to design and construct additional water storage capacity at its Bamaga Reservoir site. About The Bamaga Reservoir site currently has two 1.6ML concrete tanks that receive water via the Clear Water Pump Station at Council's Water Treatment Plant. Council wishes to increase supply by at least a further 1.6ML. Scope The scope includes: Design and construction of an additional reservoir with a minimum capacity of 1.6ML at the Bamaga Reservoir site Matching the top water level of the new reservoir to the existing two reservoirs Connecting the new reservoir's inlet to the existing 150mm common inlet line serving the other two reservoirs Connecting the new reservoir's outlet to the existing 250mm common outlet line from the other two reservoirs Supply of level sensors and an outlet flow meter as part of the contract, to be integrated into Council's SCADA system by Council Design, construction and commissioning of the reservoir in accordance with the Unity Water Specification Pr9821 Delivery as a design/construct project, with the design requiring Council approval before proceeding to the construction phase Construction of a concrete reservoir; lined reservoirs will not be considered Contract Terms and Conditions Design and planning work is expected to occur during the upcoming wet season Construction is expected to commence in May/June 2027
