WVPHN is inviting proposals from eligible service providers who meet the Mandatory Evaluation Criteria (MEC) in Section C below, to implement and deliver the LARC CoE in Victoria. The LARC CoE will deliver a service model with two core components: Delivery of outreach LARC clinical services – providing LARC insertion and removal services, including in regional, rural and remote areas, ensuring no-cost access for women, girls and gender diverse people who choose LARC as their contraceptive option. Delivery of LARC training and workforce development – providing training, upskilling and continuous learning opportunities for health professionals in LARC insertion and removal and serving as a referral point for clinicians who are not trained or confident to provide these services. The purpose of the LARC CoE program Victoria is to: increase access to LARC services for women, girls and gender diverse people who choose LARCs as their contraceptive of choice be a referral point for health professionals to refer women, girls and gender diverse people where they are not trained, skilled or confident in delivering LARC services themselves increase the number of health professionals who are trained in delivering LARC insertion and removal services increase the number of health professionals who provide LARC insertion and removal services, particularly in rural and remote areas. With the intended outcomes of: A demonstrated increase in the number of health professionals trained in providing LARC services and A demonstrated increase in access for women, girls and gender diverse people who chose to have a LARC.
