Paraburdoo Potable Water Trucked Facilities - Tender

Overview Rio Tinto Limited is seeking expressions of interest from contractors to design, procure, install, test and commission dedicated potable water systems for the Eastern Range and Channar facilities near Paraburdoo. Purpose The project will decouple Eastern Range and Channar from the existing Paraburdoo potable water network by establishing standalone trucked-potable water solutions incorporating containerised storage, chlorination and booster systems. This is intended to improve potable water security, operational resilience and network flexibility, while reducing dependence on manganese-affected groundwater sources. Scope The Contractor shall provide all engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover activities necessary to deliver four (4) operational containerised potable water treatment systems across Eastern Range and Channar, including integration with existing potable water infrastructure and all associated civil, mechanical, electrical and control system modifications required to establish a fully functional and compliant standalone potable water supply arrangement. The scope includes: Design, supply, installation and commissioning of four (4) containerised potable water storage, chlorination and booster units Integration of trucked water receival and treatment systems with existing site potable water infrastructure Civil works including earthworks, drainage, foundations, trenching and site preparation Mechanical works including piping, valves, fittings, tie-ins, isolation valves and potable water reticulation Electrical and EIC works including power reticulation, switchboard modifications, earthing, instrumentation, monitoring and communications systems Modifications to existing potable water infrastructure to facilitate system integration and network separation Testing, commissioning and performance verification to demonstrate compliance with potable water quality requirements Provision of all engineering deliverables, operating procedures, commissioning records and as-constructed documentation Instructions to Tenderers The scope of work described is a summary of the goods and/or services that may be required by Rio Tinto. As this is an Expression of Interest (EOI) only, the specifics of the package of work relating to breadth of scope, location and timing may be subject to change. If successful, suppliers will be notified of any changes prior to award. EOI responses may be referenced or re-used in the next six months if a similar scope of work is required by Rio Tinto.
